Columbia area growth

While there ARE 300K condos in the downtown area, you can also find plenty of places for well under 200 and many under 150. There are condos at Senate Plaza, Wilshire House and Park Circle for well under 150 along with a number of smaller developments. Frankly you couldn't pay me to live in the suburbs.

True, St. Julian's place, too.

One of the things about Columbia is that the burbs really aren't too far away from downtown. In the bigger cities, say Boston, that isn't the case, so the commute times probably make in town living more attractive.

And, matt, I consider the area you live to be the burbs, although one fairly close in. I have a feeling that I'm probably closer to the Statehouse than you, though, lol.
