The "dead" University Mall

The southwest part of the Trail of Tears went through the Asher University intersection. The Trail of Tears split in NLR near where Mayor Hays wants to put in a RV park. My understanding is that Stagecoach road (west of the Asher & University intersection) is so named because of the traffic through there during our colonial period. UALR has plans to build a building for the Sequoyah Research Center on campus across from Coleman Creek. Part of the endeavor will recognize the Trail of Tears as a historical path across the campus.

Phil, I sorta assumed that you are doing research and may be peripherally involved with the University District. If you are not familiar with the University District... here is a link.
