What is going on to the Young Municipal Building?

I was looking on google today and I happen to come across this. Well it looks old because I still see Hudson's in the 3'D model of the City. Bu i want to know what is happening and if it still is happening http://www.kalmantisarch.com/CityCounty.html

This proposal has been out for years. It's probably dead, unless it is revived if the county decides to move out of the Wayne County building.

I'm all for tearing that thing down. Talk about some horrible architecture! I could design something much more aesthetically pleasing than that. LOL.

it blocks the view of my favorite tower downtown- the comerica tower. i wish they would have built its twin tower but, detroit being what it is, they built a parking garage instead!

i don't think the coleman young building is half as offensive as what goes on inside.

how about tearing down the millender center instead?

If Comerica was blocked by a nice building that would be one thing, but the CAY Center is one of the most hideous looking buildings! IMO, the CAY Building is worse than the Millender Center. Although the Millender Center doesn't look so great itself.
