NY Times Travel Piece on Southeastern Connecticut

This article is from the NYT travel section and is basically letting pleople know that the times are changing in Southeastern CT, now home a good deal of the major development in our State and region.

Umm.... I find the caption to that picture at the top of the page to reek on non-credibility. The Norwich Inn has been around (and for the most part in its current form albeit it did suffer a decline and a resurgance) for a lot longer than I've been around (22 yrs) yet they say "At the Spa at Norwich Inn, one of a number of spas and upscale inns reflecting the changing face of eastern Connecticut.". I didn't even read the first paragraph yet... but geez

edit: is this what every article is like? "Preston, about 30 minutes from the two casinos"... what the hell? How about 30 seconds from each of them you idiots.

It's no surprize that Southeastern CT is developing fast. The casinos have played a major role in that.

I think the next challenge that part of the State faces is developing a sound transportation network that links the region's major attractions with New London, Norwich, and -- most importantly -- Bradley Airport.
