what river?

From Wikidepdia:

Lake Erie is the shallowest of the Great Lakes and infamously became very polluted in the 1960s and 1970s. Urban legend has described it as a dead lake, but both sport and commercial fishing have continued without interruption to the present day. Pollution in the lake did not get much attention until the great Cuyahoga River Fire in June of 1969. Pollution from Cleveland and other Ohio cities had so contaminated this tributary of Lake Erie with petrochemicals that it actually caught on fire

if this indoor water park is like the one that was part of the rec center i belonged to in VA last summer i can vouch for its popularity. There was a slide that started on the roof of the building and descended three flights at least to the pool, which was set up like that picture, with floaty areas, and lagoony things etc. It looked like a lot of fun if you're 6. There was a competition pool next door so i used that to swim laps and i would watch the antics in the kid pool, and every day there was a sign on the glass partition reminding parents that when kids puke or poop in the pool, it gets shut down for three hours EVERY TIME, so please don't bring the kids if they don't feel well, and use the loo, and fresh diapers please! Yucky!

when the resort is not full, the Dial Corp guy said they might do that. Special 'day' event like parties and such will also be allowed. I'm sure there is a limit on how many 'walk-ins' they can comfortably allow on any given day though - the resort is only so big...

well... yeah. there's those pesky fire codes. it is an indoor place. they couldn't allow anymore walk-ins than they allow people staying overnight there.

"Shipwreck Falls would be built less than a mile from the site of Harrah's Entertainment's proposed casino in the business park. Under a 1999 ordinance, the water park site could not be used for gambling or for access to a gambling venue." Projo--

yeah so? Doesn't mean it isn't counting on a casino in order for it to make a profit. And, it is an ordinance, which means it can be changed with probably two city council meetings.

Has anybody heard the story about Ward 5 residents (where this is located) in West Warwick trying to secede and become part of East Greenwich in an attempt to disolve the deal that W.W. made with the Narragansetts? This is a terribly short-sighted idea seeing how it essentially also robs a very money-starved W.W. of the potential tax revenue of this project and the existing tax revenue of the businesses and residences in this area. I'd like to discuss this more but I'm at work and have to go, I just figured that this was worth mentioning.

that's awful. honestly, i don't really think there's any reason for a part of a town to secede or for a town to "take over" another town unless it benefits everyone involved, including the town being taken over or left behind.

isn't cardi's technically in west warwick, as well as a bunch of other places that are on route 2 by 95 there?
