Those photos are nice, but is there going to be anyone post photos of all the under construction buildings? I'd like to see photos of what is going up now. Does anyone credit the high rise residential construction as a big reason why the census updated the city's population to 470,000?

Its not all attributable to highrise developments, but thats definitely part of it. My perception is that demand for intown housing is extremely high, so most neighborhoods are seeing life returing to them or seeing denser housing being put in. I am more impressed by the amount of dense housing that is going in in areas off of Peachtree than I am the skyscrapers. There is alot more going on intown than skyscrapers to be sure.

For you guys that don't live here, next time you're in town get off the beaten path a little and just explore - you will be totally blown away by all the in-fill going on. It's everywhere, and townhouses have just caught fire. Inside the Perimeter in particular, but it's happening in the older suburban areas just outside also.

HybridONE, you have some serious skills son! Keep those panoramics of Atlanta coming. I am thinking that in twenty to thirty years the "gaps" between Buckhead, Midtown and Downtown will be completely filled in and we will have ourselves a modernday Manhattan! (without the water of course :P )
