Charles Barkley for Governor?

This a pipe dream for sure now more than ever especially after his comments about "fake Christians" that was aired on CNN in February. This is Alabama we are talking about. As much as I love this state, people in state have reelected a proven liar like Troy King for State Attorney General after he was proven to have used a criminal in his political campaign in 2006. Most of the regularly voting electorate seems to be more emotional and passionate about "religion" than most other states and in addition many don't do the proper homework when deciding key issues to realize the demogogery being fed to them. Thus leading to an electorate voting against their own economic interests more than most other states including Mississippi. Case and point, Amendment One in 2004.

US Congressman Artur Davis, who is also mentioned running, has a better chance of winning the seat of governor than Barkley.

Yeah, his mouth is likely to be a real problem in a political campaign. The word on the street in Montgomery is that Artur Davis plans to run for governor in 2010, more than likely in a primary fight with Lt. Gov. Folsom.
