Great photos! I've seen pictures of Portsmouth's Strawberry Banke historic area; it this it? Or is this part of the "regular area"? It looks much better than I thought it would. I was expecting some historic and old buildings, but not so many.

Strawberry Banke is more or less a bunch of old homes that are positioned to recreate the neighborhood as it existed in the 1700's. It's not really that exciting. It blends in well with the town though, only a short walk from downtown. During the day they have actors and exhibits and everything, but if you go after 6 it's free to walk around. All of the pics above, except one, are not from the Banke.

They have an awsome downtown! Has a European feel

Off Bypass 1, they had an EXCELLENT restarant called Bickfords i dined in a few times, but i heard it closed

Its not closed, but it has a rep around here of having not so great food.
