Why do the Florida Marlins always have so many good rookies?

The Marlins always seem to have great young players but this year they have several.

I assume they have a great farm system, great scouts and know what to look for in a developing baseball player.

Is anyone familiar with their system?

IF you're talking about Anibal Sanchez or Hanley Ramirez, they were in the Red Sox farm system (most recently AA Portland), and arrived in Florida in the trade for Josh Beckett.

Yes, those are two of them. If I remeber correctly there a few more...Dan Uggla, etc.

Why is Beckett having such a tough year...all those homers given up. Do you think it's just an adjustment to American League hitters?

It may be. I didn't follow him before he joined the Sox. He had a great first half though...
