That's very problematic due to how critical that particular stretch of freeway is to not only West Memphis, or Arkansas, but to Interstate commerce period. Turning it into a major construction zone to totally rebuild the pavement would cause a huge traffic mess.

Well the hope in Memphis is that with our new outer loop maybe at least half of it will cross the Mississippi River to the north and meet up with I-555 going to Jonesboro, but I doubt it will happen b/c there is just not the growth in East Arkansas that there is in West Tennessee.
