Great photos. Looks like you had some nice weather considering it's been raining a lot lately in the past weeks.

Alot of the buildings in these photos look to be in good shape. However, I cannot stand some of the cladding put onto them. Makes me wonder what can be revealed beneath them.

One picture I found particularly interesting was the courthouse. It reminds me a lot of the Washtenaw County Courthouse in Ann Arbor that was torn down in the 50's for the building there today.

This courthouse has so many rich architectural qualities to it.

"ST. STEPHEN'S

This building is one of the oldest Episcopal churches in Michigan. St. Stephen's parish was organized in 1844, and construction of the church began almost immediately. Hiram Raymond of Hamburg was the contractor, and building funds were solicited it the East and in Europe. Donations were received from Hamburg, Germany, the native city of some parishioners. The clean, delicate lines of the church and the interesting tower make this one of the state's most intriguing churches."

Because of the changes made on UP it looks like not all of my pics from my big threads will show up.

I was in the area today so I had to get a picture of the Pink Hotel/Western House/Brighton Hotel. It was built in 1873 and could be getting demolished for a new 4-story building.
