New Jazz Club coming to Downtown!

Thats some awesome news! I hope theres going to be a big grand opening shindig or something to mark its completion. This is a great addition to the downtown landscape for entertainment. I hope that it really does well.

I hope they quickly add the Brown Street Club to the "More to See" sign at the corner of Main and Coffee.

I just got an email from one of the owners today. He says the Brown Street will open Feb 19, give or take a couple of days.

Yea, hopefully he'll try and get it open for the weekend, but it would probably be easier to break in the staff on a monday for the upcoming weekend.

Got a shot of the inside on Saturday, along with a few pictures of the New Ferrari F430 parked out front. Looks like they are almost ready to go! Owner said "soon" in a recent email.

It hasn't opened, and the start date's been pushed back a little -- but not too much. One of the bands scheduled for this week was told by the owner that they wouldn't open this week (and so the band's date was cancelled), but that the Club "should definitely open the week of March 12."

...Didn't I read late last year that another jazz club was opening downtown soon?

I received a "VIP Invitation" to the Brown Street Club, with reservations available on the 7, 8, 9, 10 of March. No, I'm no VIP, I'm sure they sent invitations to all who signed up for their mailing list. I'm thinking this means that they will open for regular business on the 12th?

Wow! This place is a GREAT addition to Greenville. A little more pricey than I was expecting ($20-$25 entrees) but it really was a nice place. Decorated very nice, understated, and urban! Had a very upscale feel to it. Band was good, food was Great, and they had a well stocked bar and an extensive wine list.

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures, but they had a photographer walking around, so I am sure they'll have some up on the web in no time.

Also, ferrari is one of the owners. The other owner has a Lamborgini
