Where did you have your wedding reception?

Just a place that people haven't mention yet: WMU's downtown campus on Ionia has a nice room that you can rent out. I've been to a few receptions there and it was nice. And, you were right down the street from McFadden's and other places, so it was easy to go out afterwards.

Sure.... Have the rehearsal downtown. Its a lot easier for others to go out after the party.

Additionally, we agreed that we will not go into debt under any circumstances for this wedding.

With 200 to 250 guests and a limited budget our options were limited within downtown. I would have loved to find a place that could accommodate all our needs, unfortunately there is a limited selection without costing far more than I could afford on my salary. It's amazing how much they want to charge for many of those places. I don't have $15 to $20 thousand to spend on the reception alone.

Besides, my reception is going to be party enough for that night!
