Fortress Construction

They have cleared a lot land and are doing something BIG on the west side of Fortress Blvd. close to Manson Pike (across from the Indian Creek subdivision). Anybody know what it is?

This artical is a little dated but I am assuming this is the project that was announced along with the Avenues Mall. The development will consist of retail, condominiums, townhomes, banks, and walking trails. I remember the city council discussing this last year and they said that the development will be huge. In fact, two major bridges will have to be constructed for accessibility, one over Brinkley Road, and the other over Manson Pike. Fortress Boulevard will also be widened to five lanes.

This was announced prior to The Avenue being announced. There is an article where the developer admits to losing the battle for tenants to The Avenue and obviously Stones River. http://nashville.bizjournals.com/nashville.../26/story1.html

I'm guessing the retail portion of this one is either greatly reduced or at least changed to more of a neighborhood grocery type center. There's simply not enough "lifestyle" to go around.
