Nashville Ethnic Profile

Since I'm temporarily jobless (thanks to an outsourcing project) I have way too much time on my hands. How else can I possibly waste more time than to make up a statistical ethnic profile of Nashville? Here is an ethnic profile of Nashville.

Its important to remember this is an ethnic list, not racial list. It does not include a total population number as there are many people who choose to leave this out, and in addition there are categories that are unreported. The census rule is that there must be 100 or more within an ethnic group before they report the data, this is what I found available.

Here goes...

Ethnic Group (click to receive Census official page) - Population

I don't understand this. Does this census mean people that are descended from these nationalities or people that are actually native to these places?
