local Mardi Gras society could be in the works

I would love to see this happen, because one of the things this region's Mardi Gras festivities is missing is a real marching brass band. Sure we have the high school marching bands who perform in the parades, but this would be an adult brass band that would march through the crowds to keep people entertained throughout the days of the parades. As it stands there isn't much pre- or post-parade fun with the exception of the krewe parties.

Robery Trudeau is also the perfect person to put something like this together. He was very instrumental in getting Mardi Gras back in this part of the state over a decade ago and he has been teaching locals how to "second line" and party New Orleans-style ever since.
