I think "brawl" was blown way out of proportion. Two punch were thrown but one guy got suspended for 15, two others 10 games and a host of others. Did Carmelo get 15 games because of who he is? In baseball, when a hitter get hit by a pitch and rushes the mound, they're are back in the line-up the same week.
