North Macon/Bibb County Upscale Developemtents

Will north bibb county become the buckHead of Macon? It seem that what the idea is for this area High end vehicle dealerships, Upscales retailers and housing developments. What next for North Macon ?

Most of the retail developments includes hotels and restaurants. what hotels and restaurants would be a good fit for North Macon! Hitons, Westin or Sheration - Cheesecake factory, Houston's, Mic's, magganio's or maybe P. diddy will open a second Justin in north macon. will just have to see!

I really hope thers a Copelands and a Pappadeaux's. Ahhhhh. (drool)

I wonder since is experiencing so much grow in the north bibb area, will they annex that area into city limits......

The shops at river crossing is starting to take shape, parts walls are up.... and the widing and reworking of Riverside Dr. into 4 lanes passed arkwright Rd. is coming along great..

Zoning OK sought for project on Bass Road

Plans are moving forward on the mixed-use development plans for the commercial portion of the Providence development on Bass Road at Interstate 75.

Current plans are to develop about 12.5 acres for phase one including improvements to the existing entrance to Providence, two mixed-use buildings with retail on the ground floor and two levels of loft apartments above, a four-story hotel and conceptual plans for a bank and a pre-school facility, according to the staff report.

The two mixed-use buildings include plans for 23,320 square feet of shop space and 131,500 square feet for loft apartments. The design includes wide sidewalks, parks, a fountain, lake and nature preserve.

It seems that most of the rendered projects for Downtown, North and South Macon have already been approved or either under construction, what type

Looks like two more gated upscale apartment developments are headed for North Macon,..The first is a 220 unit complex behind the Butler car dealerships on Riverside drive blvd and Bowman rd.The other is a 238 unit complex behind Ikon.the entrance road will be New Forsyth rd.its part of a mixed-use developement that fronts Riverside dr.Future plans call for Office,Retail and commerical use.Both seem to be modeled after Bass at Lullwater.
