Providence has the following sister cities[13]:

* Cambodia Phnom Penh, Cambodia

* Italy Florence, Italy

* Latvia Riga, Latvia

* Dominican Republic Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

it isn't so farfetched MIKE L.... especially since my post was to compare PVD to other AMERICAN cities... not the actual European ones. Providence is in fact a very european american city.

so keep rolling on the floor laughing while we keep climbing the ladder .. bucko :P

comparing florence to providence is beyond hilarious. no word for it.

the first record in florence is from 59 B.C.

Cant really compare the once capital of Italy to Providence Rhode Island.

Also, everyone should remember than anything and everything on wikipedia is USER SUBMITTED
