A 1 1/2 mile section of I-49 from Arkansas Loop 245 to I-30 will have to wait a couple of months because of a delay in bid letting for grading and dirt work. Work in Texarkana will be let in the January bid letting. The Texarkana project is worth an estimated $30-$35 million. Grading and structure work on I-49 is expected to begin in the spring on the 5 mile stretch between I-30 and U.S. 71.
