I looked on Polaris. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority bought about 97 acres at the end of 2019. The parcel includes the land that Tenders sits on. I haven't seen anything to indicate that it is actually closing, but since it sits on Atrium's land, I would think the possibility is fairly high.

Tenders is so good. Might need to start a "Save Tenders" petition on this one if it is indeed going to meet the wrecking ball. Hopefully that is not the case.

I believe, as you stated, that Tender's will be torn down to build the hospital. Several years ago, when it looked like they would close because of other development, I asked an employee what they would do and was told they owned some of the land directly across the street and they would rebuild there. My guess is it will become a PDQ when that happens.

Two separate but connected projects in Cornelius were unanimously approved by the town board last night, this includes the new OMB site. Combined, they include over 544 apartments, 250 age-restricted units, 14 townhomes, and 140k of commercial space (including OMB itself), all within walking distance of downtown Cornelius and Davidson. It will also open onto a recently completed stretch of greenway .

The Cain Center for the Arts is well on it's way in downtown Cornelius. In addition  to a 400-seat theater, it will include multiple classroom spaces, gallery space, and a large outdoor events area.

Here is Cornelius aka original name of Liverpool.  They actually have 2 grocery stores (a Teeter and Food Lion) in their small downtown and very dense neighborhoods nearby that are walkable including Antiquity  New Cain Center for the Arts going up downtown.   New unknown building going up maybe @tozmervo can identify.  Notice the covered bridge that connects over to Davidson.  

I present the town of Cornelius once a mill town and well away from Charlotte but now a thriving town in the suburbs.  Was up in the northern towns today.  First couple of photos Oakhurst community of Cornelius.  Notice the tree canopy.

In looking at NWR website found this about the apartment community they are going to build in Cornelius near the OMB brewery to be built up there.  Called Greenway Gartens and it has almost an European look to it.

Up in the Birkdale Village area  in Huntersville exit 25 their new additions to the main shopping center are coming together.  New micro retail, a stage, new Astroturf lawns, new seating areas.  The astroturfing of Charlotte continues but it would be very hard to get grass to grow under these huge oaks in the center strip and with excessive pedestrian traffic crossing over probably makes sense.   There will be a stage and big LED screen and room for ice skating in the winter.  

the only place in the metro where you can live above a Banana Republic or Victoria's Secret.   Looks like a completion before Christmas from what I see.

I'm usually not a fan of astroturf because you can typically tell it's fake from a mile away. Based of those pictures I think it looks pretty here. Did it look as nice in person?

it did except on an edge here and there.  otherwise people were sitting on it and relaxing!  I do believe it is the best solution under these trees.

The O.G. of northern Meck town center projects Birkdale Village  in Huntersville is being yes Reimagined (like Ballantyne)   Really looking good for the new owners NA Properties and Nuveen love the new jewel box shops in the center.  And despite the heat today people enjoying the shade under the real oak trees and the Astroturf.  They have repainted the apartments above the retail.  Today.

Not sure it's been mentioned elsewhere on UP, but the old Signal Hill Mall in Statesville (right off exit 50 on I-77) is finally up for sale. I've heard there's already a buyer with big visions. It's a huge amount of property.

this project is the definition of the Lake Norman area urbanization project.  The town planning board recommends approval of the additions of office building and hotel to Birkdale Village.  There was some opposition at the public meeting.  There is a 12 story hotel planned and a fairly large office building 7 stories 150-175K sq ft. 

Planned replacement of both existing parking decks with larger garages.  Here is the site plan documents from the town.
