What's the progress on the new store? I assume it should be close to being finished by now.

Also, does anyone know when shreve city was built? I know it's one of the older shopping centers in the city

I know the outside is done, and it looks awesome! I drove through the parking lot about a month ago. It is pretty big too. Someone really should post a picture.

One more week, I tell you what I am glad to have a walmart on my side of town now, But Knight street is goign to be a desaster area. There are going to be many wrecks at the intersection at SB-Highway with the side street in from of the amsouth bank. Traffic is going to be a nightmare.

unfortionatley I am one of the ONLY people in the world that does not have a digital camera or a camera phone. but I am sure it will be all over the news here in the next 2 days. From my desk, it really looks nice. I just have to decide how I am going to get to and from my office everyday.

No. Shreve City is Shreve City Shopping Center. Located at the foot of the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge on the shreveport side. It was originally built i believe in the 60s, I could be wrong on that date though.

Even though Shreve City is just a shopping center, many people refer to the area of the city immediately surrounding the center as Shreve City as well. I include myself in this, as anytime I'm referring to anything between Kings and Clyde Fant, along Shreveport-Barksdale, I find myself saying "Shreve City."
