What site are we talking about? Clark Street? Did I miss something?

To answer the last questions:

The Griswold: Capitol Park is the building going up next to the Book Cadillac on Michigan Avenue at Griswold Street. Capitol Park is the gritty park behind it on Griswold.

The lower portion consists of the parking garage for the Westin and Residences BC.

Actually, I'm pretty confident that 3 floors is all the garage is going to be...which, in a way is really good since the mixed use structure along Woodward will be 5. Finally, an actual occupied structure which is taller than its parking garage (I think the Ellington is about the same height).

You're right, though tape. The first level of steel runs the full length and is pretty impressive in terms of how much street frontage it takes up. :)

The building is definitely maximizing the site plan thats for sure! You are correct in saying that the mixed use building (Studio One Apartments) will be 5 stories. First floor is dedicated to retail with just over one-hundred apartments above. Watch out for precast arriving on site next week

The garage is so ugly. And what a waste of space. It has nothing to offer in terms of human amenity, other than to ditch their empty metal masses. Parking garages are fantastic when they offer something to people like me, whose neighborhood this is being built in. My neighborhood is TOO autocentric as it is, and soon it will be moreso. Though I greatly appreciate the mixed Studio One coming as well, I'm not willing to accept the lower standards. If this was built in Columbus along High Street (arguably) our Woodward, this would NEVER go.

Garden Lofts at Brush Park, open for a few months now.

This building in Brush Park has been (purposefully) gutted, and I've seen workers onsite, so hopefully it is the next one to go under the knife.

One of my favorite smaller projects is this line of renovations along Charlotte Street. Structures like this, sadly don't exist in Detroit anymore.

Thanks for posting!!

Does anyone know what's up with those arches on the crystal ballroom? I really love that building, but I don't understand that side of the building.

Also, are they going to fix the corner?

Nice to see that things are still moving along.

The arches on the Crystal Lofts replicate the original ones that were there. Those windows look the same as the ones they replaced. If you mean why was that style chosen originally, I do not know. :)

And yes, the corner piece will be repaired as well.
