Changing mindset towards home rule

The 2 county commissioners believe that the passing of the measure to allow some home rule shows a changing mindset across the county toward government control. It shows that the citizens of Madison County are being more and more progressive, which is a good thing. Good job, 1 more step forward!

Is this a good idea? I think there needs to be some sort of power given to the county to control all the growth and development in the unincorporated areas. Madison County is not really rural anymore and is rapidly becoming suburbanized.
