October NOLA visit

Was in NOLA for fall break to visit my sister. This was my first trip back to the city since March, and I can definitely say significant progress is being made. Many more places have since re-opened and parts of town where there was no traffic or people back in March are seeing rebuilding efforts. The city still has a way to go but the difference from March to October is very impressive and will only continue to improve as time progresses.

I really like all of the different views, ranging from so many different things in the city, from so many different places, all with different levels of rebuilding process post-Katrina. Great job of catching everything!

Excellent retrospective on the current state of the city. Alive in many areas and still strangely empty and quiet in others. However, the heart is still beating and that's what matters the most.

Thanks rolltide for posting all of those. I enjoyed them. Those are some great shots. You were really all over the place! Very impressive. Thanks for showing the damaged neighborhoods. I hope they come back stronger than ever. I like the density in the different parts NOLA too.

Thanks for the replies guys! It was great to see all of the positive steps in the recovery process taking place all over the city. The change from my visits in January and March was simply amazing. Each time I visit, I like to visit new areas and explore previously unknown places witihin the city.

I cannot wait to see how much has progressed when I visit again in the spring
