any suggestions for the best places to walk or drive around to see overthetop xmas light displays? In Brooklyn, Bensonhurst was the place, but I never was sure where to go in RI. Never been to LaSallette either. Looking for one single crazy house, or a whole street or neighborhood of them.

just checked the weather, looks like it is gonig to be a clear christmas, but it will be snowing the 27th.

I googled it, apparently it's a Cul-de-Sac where people used to have elaborate decorations. This Craigslist posting from yesterday says it's not the same this year though:

there is a really nice house off of simmonsville ave in johnston, right at the end near plainfield st. the house is literally one of those houses you see on tv with so many lights its annoying, its cool to go and they have a donation box and money goes towards a childrens hospital, its cool to check out.

Christmas Lane (Brewster Drive in North Kingstown) doesn't have all the houses lit up anymore. Imagine how pissed off the old neighbors must be at these new people who moved in and don't want to decorate.

There's a house on Mayfield Ave in Cranston, just east of Oaklawn Ave, that has a million white lights out front and then cardboard cut-outs of Oprah, her fiance and Doctor Phil. Yes I'm serious.

in the spirit of the holidays, and the community in which i am currently residing, i shot mistletoe out of an oak tree today with a pellet gun. And it was FUN. I'm totally doing it tomorrow too. if i can't have snow at least i can make it rain a shower of poisonous white berries...
