Wow, looks like 90-10 is going to be hot stuff mighty soon...

Sad to see the nice open field with the water buffalo go, but c'est la vie, I reckon.

Is there any chance that the Cross Creek mall might get a Piccadilly's? We were pretty bummed out when the two in Governor's Square and the Tallahassee Mall closed.

Sbdinc, that seems to be a problem with Mr. Moore. He has all sorts of great ideas for the land he owns around town, but most of his plans stay as just that, plans. He is a big talker, not so much a doer.

My dad and I were actually talking about this yesterday. I was on your side, but as my dad let me know (my dad has lived in Tally for 35 years), Devoe's "bark is bigger than his bite."

^I've not lived here long enough to know that about DeVoe, but I'll take you guys word on it. I do know two things about him through from my observations:

1.) He comes from the TK school of thought, His Way or the Highway!

2.) He's left a trail of Fugly bldgs all over Tally (Fort Knox, Old Car Museum, The New Purina Car Museum...)

I don't think Fort Knox is ugly... but those other two, yes. I believe he also played a key role in getting things rolling with Fallschase. He owns the plaza where Turner's Fine furniture is, and something else near downtown. Didn't he also own Buckhead Brewery and Grill?

Are we talking about the same bldg? I'm talking about the office bldg fronting Mahan that is silver w/red trim. It's been in such bad need of exterior cleaning that when I pass the bldg. w/my windows down, I believe I can actually hear the bldg. softly crying "Wash Me Please!"

cgtally I hope you correct. A little power-washing there would go a long way!

Once it's clean, I don't mind the silver and glass look, it's the red borders I have a hard time with.

I was thinking, is there any racing/car/automotive significance to the "Purina Checkers" on the New Car Museum bldg. that I'm just too daft to understand? I don't think it's suppose to be a racing checkered flag any other ideas?

Well TJ, they say a picture is worth a thousand words and you've done it again. Your picture of the Fort Knox bldg. fronting Mahan absolutely proves me wrong abut how dirty I remember it. It looks 100 times better than what I recall. The last 5 or 6 times I've been by there (the last time was less than 2 weeks ago) the bldg. was coated in dust and dirt as were the windows. Now you show us this picture of a nice clean bldg. They either power washed the bldg or all this recent rain helped clean it up....or it could be trick photography? :)

What do you guys think about Bldg. #2 over there?
