Mystery Towers

The tower on the far left and the tower in front of One Commerce Square. I have never seen these before and I thought that they might have been rejects or failed projects. I found this at the Memphis Riverfront website. Does anyone have a clue what they are?

^Yup this is one of the big problems FFOR has with the riverfront plan. They're afraid towers along the riverfront will block views from Downtown. Dunno if the project is still a go but I think Beale Street Landing is under construction now, right?

I don't know about Beale street landing. But it seems like the towers were part of RDC's plan for the promenade. The towers cant be built unless the are for public purposes, its the same for the rest of the promenade. So most of the RDC's plan cant really happen.
