Will NWA ever be largest metro in state?

Mith, the big area with all the streets and cul-de-sacs on the Adair-Delaware County line is the Flint Ridge Resort...just found that out this evening. It's something like 13 miles from Siloam Springs.

Siloam now advertises its population at 13,900. Add in West Siloam Springs, OK; Gentry and the unincorporated areas between the latter city and Siloam has a "metro" population of around 17,000 which by itself would make SS the 13th or 14th largest city in Oklahoma were it in the Sooner State.

I guess you could say that. OKC and Tulsa being the two major metros and they are about 1.5 hours from each other. Compared to Little Rock and NWA which are about 3 or so hours apart. Oklahoma has no large border cities compared with Ft. Smith, West Memphis, and Texarkana. Oklahoma does have a two decent sized cities that is out by themselves such as Enid and Lawton (the 3rd or 4th largest, I can't remember if Norman is just ahead or behind them), and then scattered mid sized cities such as Ardmore, Altus, Woodward, McAlester, Muskogee, and Bartlesville. Enid and Lawton could be compared with Jonesboro and Hot Springs.

Per today's ADG looking at per capita income and growth in different areas of the state:

Little Rock: $34,485 / 5.2% growth

NW ARK : $28,822 / 3.0% growth

Ft Smith : $27,729 / 5.0% growth

Jonesboro: $26,370

Hot Springs:$28,816

Pine Bluff : $24,695

National growth average was 5.3%

Looks like Little Rock is still leading the way in the state.
