Vdogg, you are right I did not say race was the reason for the underfunding today.

You are also right stating that NSU and ODU should combine. ODU is one of the most diverse schools in the state. That would create the largest college in Virginia.

Just to mention...GMU is the 2nd most diverse university in the couuntry, behind Columbia I believe. Diversity is good, especially in a university setting so I'm glad ODU is diverse as well. VCU also seems to have a good amount of diversity. The more, the better IMO.

Renovation of Norfolk Community Hospital:

Norfolk State University took possession of this facility and the surrounding land (11.2 acres total) from the City of Norfolk in August 2004. The main structure consists of 135,000 square feet of space in need of major renovations to bring it up to safety code requirements and repair and modernize the current facility. The Richmond Spiders thought they had little to fear from Norfolk State, which was picked to finish ninth in the MEAC.

They thought wrong.

Just four days after surprising nationally-ranked Memphis with a close game, Richmond (1-2) was itself surprised in a 72-69 loss to Norfolk State (1-0) at the Robins Center last night.
