I'd say something, but it's such a vauge question I dunno how to go about it. Like post a pic? or where in orlando we live/lived?

btw i think it'd be cool to have a "post ur pic" thread for orlando forum regulars :)

Maybe, how old are you? Judging by your pics were probably about the same age. Praha, if I'm not mistaken your in your mid-twenties as well, correct?

Two birds with one post, Tim3167 thinks he knows me, so instead of piling up :offtopic: a quick synopsis of my Disney time:

Came to Orlando in 1986 as a PT sub-musician at EPCOT. Was tired of teaching and playing, so used my tech background and got a gig being a band gear specialist for EPCOT in Equipment Control. Moved over to the studios when it was NY street and a dirt pile early '89, did the install and open of Indiana Jones where I got my pyro card. Then was offered a new position at warehouse orange doing band gear for the property. Install and open PI. I also c/u'd resorts and special events at the parks. Left the mouse to get a teaching degree in 1993.

I know a number of people who have worked out there like to razz on Disney. My experiences were rather positive, and the lessons I learned there have helped make me successful outside of Disney. So I look back with fondness, except for the two main entertainment purges while I was there.

So, Tim3167. Have we worked together?

Sure have.

Started in Epcot Equipment Control in '89. Still with the mouse currently managing some IT systems and processes for Entertainment and Disney Event Group.

Small world. Think I saw you downtown a couple months back strolling Central.

27 and broke, but I live by the motto "spend it while you make it". Live near downtown in a house I rent.

Indeed! You may find me practically any night of the week in or strolling between the reveling establishments along Central, Court, Wall, and Pine.

And thanks for getting Small World stuck in my mind's iPod... :P

I am 28, male, was going to buy a house at rock lake area but got outbid. So I bought my house in Metrowest. Dont normally go to downtown, but drive thru there daily to go to work. Hate toll road. Hate slow drivers on the left lane. Graduated from UCF & UF (Class of 2000). Go Gators! My first magic game was Chicago vs Orlando (Orlando last game in previous session). Someone gives me his season pass and it was 3 rows from the floor. Somehow he is the season pass holder of the week. It was embarassing moment.

wow. and all this time i thought you were a 50-something lady who lived in clermont. i don't know why, and i'm really sorry!

i'm a 29-year-old single gal who lives in a condo on north orange in uptown ... until two months ago i rented in the lake lawsona historic district. i ride my bike all around downtown, and can't wait until we get some joints that are open for food on the weekend. don't get me wrong -- i love the pita pit. but a coffeehouse closer to my side similar to the coffeehouse of thornton park would be fantastic.

oh yeah, and i know nothing about building ... just enjoy watching the growth of orlando (born in deland, raised in sanford, and am a ucf grad). my trade is new media & tv news syndication.

30 years old. From rural Oklahoma, moved to Orlando (Conway) in '91, started feeling claustrophobic due to the population explosion (What can I say, I was raised in the country) So I recently moved to Deltona, which helped. It's actually pretty nice out here, I wish I had known about it earlier.

Work at one of Orlando's premiere healthcare facilites. So I have absolutely no expertise on buildings or urban planning but I sure do like how Orlando is growing - which is a paradox, really, because it got to be a bit much for me. :silly:

29 SWM - I like long walks on the bea..(oops) Wrong board.

:P

Anyways, I'm 29, moved here from NYC to DeBary in 2002 after the job market in NYC crapped out post 9/11. After the hurricanes and no power for three weeks I said "'f' the country" and started looking downtown (of course my 1 1/2 hour commute to the convention center was another driving factor). Bought at 55W, they raised the prices, I pulled out and practically stole a unit at Eola South pre-construction that same day.

I work for Marriott's Timeshare division over by Seaworld as a technical analyst for the internet marketing team. I'm back in school at UCF working towards a degree in International Marketing. Ugh, and I really, REALLY like Thai food... (and skycrapers, not in any particular order).

I'm not sure if its worthy of its own thread, but perhaps it might be interesting to know what everyones member name means or how you came up with it.

Mine for example: well, its pretty self-explanatory.

Who else?

The small town I grew up in Pennsylvania had the same mascot for Elementary, Junior and Senior High Schools.
