2007 wish list

More and more of them have been popping up lately; we have one in Rock Hill. They had to be smart and give Walgreens some nighttime/holiday competition.

We're getting a new Walgreen's in Cayce/West Columbia next to Piggy Park. I'm glad of that.

Speaking of which, I saw a for sale sign up in front of the Kmart on Charleston Highway. Anyoe know the deal on it? Staying OT, if it ids sold, I hope they put a Target there.

I may be one of the few on this fourm that could use this CVS, does anyone else wish it was a Walgreens instead? CVS just seems so suburbia

I said I wish it was a Walgreens instead when the CVS was announced. Walgreens is much more efficient from a pharmacy perspective.

Walgreens is the department store of the phamacy chains. they have everything in there.

I just don't like Walgreens. Maybe its the tile flooring, I dont know. It just feels more like a wal-mart than the other two.

^^^HAHAHA Funny you should say that. My wife considers it a mini-Walmart and a much more convenient one. Makes me wonder if that's the image they are trying to project.

OK, so let's try to generate some realistic wishes for 2007. Here's mine:

1. More announcements for businesses locating along Main

2. Have the rest of Main streetscaped

3. See more retail come to Lady

4. The state supreme court makes a ruling on the Bull Street campus so the project can finally begin

5. Innovista lands a major tenant

6. Substantial work on Columbia's side of the greenway

7. Something announced for Pulaski

8. Something coming out of the Five Points masterplan

9. Permanent solutions for the homeless situation

10. Another residential project for Main

Actually something is under construction on Pulaski. The Brownstones proposed for Pulaski at College are under construction.

Now that we are looking to 2008, let's see what did happen in 2007. I remember an old list of proposed, underconstruction, and completed projects in the metro somewhere on this thread, but can't find it. Would be cool to update it. Anyone know where it is or should we do a new one?
