Rising Roll has closed.

I hadn't realized that. :( Four store fronts in a row are now empty from Rising Roll to a stalled Dunkin Donuts. Then just pass the Piazza is the delayed Washington Square project.

I didn't realize that Mojito's in the West End had already opened. I drove by tonight after eating downtown. They appeared to be doing a fairly good business. I'm sure it will only pick up with the opening game of the Drive's 2009 season on Monday. BTW, Dabo is throwing out the first pitch. I hope it doesn't get rained out!

Hmm... You didn't happen to notice whether or not that applies also to its conjoined twin, Sushi Murasaki, did you?

Sushi Murasaki appeared to be open. That place always seems to be packed on nights and weekends so I don't see why it would close also.

I know the owner, he told me it's renovation to try to get some new business as things have gotten a little tougher over the last year. He's putting in some new TVs that I know of. Besides that I think the concept is staying the same, just new look inside. Nice guy too, definitely the kind of person that you want having businesses in you town, very willing to reinvest money back into the local economy.

-Dunkin Donuts is back on track and is scheduled to open this summer.

-A new pastry and coffee shop is slated to open within the next few months in the retail space next to Go Fish.

Glad Dunkin is back underway. Any idea why they stalled?

Noticed the new pastry place last night walking by after the Drive game. Looks fun. Lots of various funky chandeliers hanging.
