Do you guys feel safe?

Farmers Insurance has listed Boise as the safest Metro area of more than 500k people in the country. I didn't even realize that Boise's Metro had over 500k people in it. That might have something to do with the fact that five countiesd are included in the metro area. I'd Wager that the immediate Urban population of boise, that is Boise and it's immediate suburbs would be a little less than that. Either way it's ranked as the safest metro area in the country. What are the reasons for it?

I would think that we are safe, but not the safest in the nation, i feel extreamly safe in Boise, and it seems the gang wars have quieted down in Nampa and Caldwell, other than the gang violence, its pretty quiet here in Boise.

Wow I'd never associate Boise with Gang wars. Living in Grand Rapids for as long as I did, it has more than it's fare share of crime but gangs not at all. They must be more of a western US phenomena
