What are the top 10 things you want to see happen in Charleston this year? Be more realistic than last year...

Here is my list:

  1. Progress towards resolving the James Island issue

  2. Construction on Magnolia site

  3. More steps towards creating a "Midtown" district along Upper King

  4. The start of a regional planning process to address the massive amounts of growth

  5. steps towards a commuter rail system

  6. more office space downtown (or the announcement of it)

  7. solidify funding source for CARTA

  8. lower crime rate, esp. on the peninsula/Eastside area

  9. major on Noisette

  10. some progress on improving theold bridge site
