I had hopes for those 2 small buildings being re-used, but they weren't in a good spot to share the block and aren't significant enough to be worth incorporating into a redevelopment. Greens and the building next to it on 4th however ARE worth saving and I hope they are left alone. 

 

I don't think worrying about the ballpark views is a good reason to downsize or not build anything.

And don't get me wrong, I'm happy about any development we get like this in center city.  I personally was just hoping this particular plot would be the scale of the other apartments that will be surrounding the stadium (w/ retail).  Ideally, similair to older facade of the small strip on Trade St we were worried would be bulldozed.  

 

All in all, this tower will hopefully look good, as people will be looking at it for 2-3 hours straight from base to tip during games.

Enjoy the view from the ballpark while you can.... At the end of the day I'd rather it be ringed with towers... Especially if they replace surface parking lots!

I dunno, EIFS is pretty gritty when it starts falling apart after a few months.

The P&N depot appears to be the long building to the foreground on the right.

 

I didn't realize the tracks from the NCRR to the Southern "R" Line were elevated in such a fashion.

 

Is that I-77 under construction in the distance?  Are there any remaining structures that anyone recognizes?
