Nissan Chooses Memphis

Or at least, that's the title of the article in today's CA. Nissan will be occupying 413,000 square feet in SE Shelby.

"It is unclear how many jobs will be created or when the distribution center will become operational, but local economic development and real estate officials said landing the Nissan distribution center was a coup for the city and Lauth.

"It says a lot of Memphis to come out ahead when they were in the beauty pageant with all the other major Southern cities," said Andy Cates, vice president of Colliers, Wilkinson & Snowden. "Having a name like Nissan and 400,000 square feet in Memphis is great."
