Hey... someones gotta represent the 719 LMFAO.

Seriously though, a few more pictures of downtown and then something a little different.

The Historic City Auditorium. The 24-Story Cooper Tower is slated to go up right next door (to the right.)

In the last decade, new development in downtown Colorado Springs has generally consisted of smaller office and loft projects, such as The Conover Building.

The Plaza of the Rockies complex from the Northeast. A new 7-Level parking structure is under construction immediately to the right of the parking structure pictured here. The new structure will be designed to look like an office building, and include space for ground floor retail.

Colorado Springs is famous for it's religious institutions, conservative politics, and sprawl... issues that tend to overshadow some of the cities real gems.

One of those gems is the Old Colorado City Historic District on the west side. Originally a seperate community, Colorado City incorporated into Colorado Springs city limits decades ago.

I really enjoy the artwork that they put on the walls, it really adds a lot to the city, because blank wallsare horrible.
