This article in pop city discusses the new housing in East Liberty. As part of phase 1, 7 of 12 units have sold in the upper 100's and upper 200's, with the other 5 probably closing soon. I like that East Liberty is coming back, but I'm surprised at how quickly, and how much these houses are going for.

Gentrification seems to always be an issue in cases like these... I know that's been discussed in the forum, and Rob Stephany of ELDI has mentioned this as an issue when they consider housing and commercial projects. It will be interesting to see what the area looks like in 5 years...
