After the Titans game today, I was walking back to my car. I crossed the shelby street bridge, walked by the new symphony hall, etc. I saw the new Hampton inn and the Encore, but next to the Encroe site the block on franklin street between 4th and 5th has been cleared and leveled. Ther's lots of contruction equipment there. What is going up next to the Encore???

That is being cleared for surface parking at this time. It is owned by Tower Development and future plans hinge on the reality of the CC being built on the block next to it. If it is, then probably a new convention hotel. If not, they have stated that it may be a mixed use project.
