A lot of depends on our point of view. If your house isn't selling, it a really bad market. But last year a record year, so the numbers look worse than they really are.

One good thing not mentioned in the article. it's now a buyers market and there are values out there. Speculators and flippers are being driven out of the market, so the prices are more realistic and reflect the actual costs of folks looking for homes to live in, not guys looking for a quick buck.
