Sloss Furnaces

The success of the previous production of Shakesphere play, The Muse, has led to the play organizer, Elizabeth Bradley, to do more production at the facility. There will be more production to be done at Sloss Furnances. Also she is hoping that help from Alan Hunter, owner of Workplay and former MTV VJ, will help her get more performance funded and sponsored until she can form a nonprofit organization.

Shakesphere returns to Sloss

This is a good thing for Sloss since the HOB facility there (which is actually used for the performances) hasn't been regularly used since the LL Cool J concert back in Summer '04. I wish her the best and hope the whole idea turns into a major success. It's also great to see somebody not native to Birmingham loving the city's culture and it potential.
