Columbia Photo of the Day

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else noticed how clean the new owners of the Capitol Center have made it? The cleaners on the hanging scaffold have gone over it many times. I mean it has been going on for weeks. The coloring of those two buildings together is exquisite.

Who can tell me how to make the picture where you don't have to click on it to see it well, like the pictures immediately preceding mine?

And here's one of the Congaree River from Centennial Park across from the S.C. State Museum in downtown Columbia. It was an overcast, somewhat misty morning.

Wouldn't it be nice if the area around Eau Claire's former Town Hall could be redeveloped into a more dense urban neighborhood? I always kinda thought maybe it was like that in the past but it had been torn down and replaced with what's currently in the area.

Here's a shot of the Congaree River from the Three Rivers Greenway on the west bank, just across the river from downtown Columbia.

Me too. Thanks to all of you, I love this thread. :)

It's a man-made structure so representative of the Midlands's river geography. Great shot.
