A question for the Charleston photogs - A buddy of mine who lives in Charleston (and has lived there only for a couple months) just got engaged and would like me to come from Charlotte to take the engagement pictures. As a visiting photographer with relatively little knowledge of the city, where are some of the better engagement picture sites?

A question for the Charleston photogs - A buddy of mine who lives in Charleston (and has lived there only for a couple months) just got engaged and would like me to come from Charlotte to take the engagement pictures. As a visiting photographer with relatively little knowledge of the city, where are some of the better engagement picture sites?

Here's just a few that come to mind -

- White Point Garden (aka The Battery)

- Middleton Place (where mine was taken years ago), Drayton Hall and any of the other plantations

- Any of the beaches - Folly, Sullivans, IOP

- Angel Oak (on Johns Island)

- Hampton Park (downtown)

- Cannon Park (downtown)

- Waterfront Park (downtown)

- Charles Towne Landing (West Ashley)

Waterfront Park and White Point Garden are easy walking distance of each other so you could take pics at both sites.

I know I'm missing some others!
