Here are the two sculptures by Dale Chihuly in the new Richardson Arts Center on Wofford's campus: Goldenrod and Crimson Persian Chandelier and Cerise and Amber Persian Ceiling, respectively.  The art museum in the building is open to the public several days a week (info here: https://www.wofford.edu/rsrca/).  I highly recommend visiting and seeing the Chihulys for yourself.  They are beautiful.

The Richardson Center is an awesome facility.  I recommend everyone visit it.

The AC Hotel is very prominent as you enter downtown on West Main (particularly around Forest Street).  It feels quite large/tall and even blocks out the Denny's Building from that perspective.  But I noticed that from further away, the actual difference in scale of the 2 buildings becomes more evident.  Here's a photo from near the West Main Artists Co-op that illustrates the difference.  I find the phenomenon quite interesting.

I drive on Hwy 29 and then W. Main in that direction pretty frequently.  You're right, it seems very imposing and impressive up close.  i think It is still relatively impressive even when seen from further away, though the massive size of the Denny's Tower is evident.

You know.. when the put it up, they probably weren't even thinking about the "Spartanburg Skyline." Hopefully with all this momentum that will now be an option. Until then there's always photoshop
