I guess balloons are a pretty good sign that this is finished. The grand opening is next week, according to the sidewalk sign out front.

WHOA! Since when does this building need its own mini-West Main sign?! Can't it make do with the ENORMOUS overhang above its front door?

When this project began, we were speculating that this might be the rumored Brooks Brothers store. I just noticed today that they're going into the old Dansk location at Brick Market Place. They have "Opening Spring, 2007" signs in the windows.

I am a bit of a shutterbug.

I haven't stopped to look at the menu yet, but I agree about the building. This building was itself the scene of a major fire in its upper stories a few years ago, and the repair job made the building look disjointed. Now, though, it's never looked better.

^All that glass on the second floor can swing open to create a patio-like dining space. Today was the first time I'd seen it open and it looks like a fantastic space, at least from street level.
