^^^^ That reminds me about 3-4 years ago I was traveling up to State College the night before the Penn State game at about midnight. Just past the Maryland border all traffic was diverted off the interstate for about 20 miles before you could get back on. The thing that got my attention was the number of military vehicles that were involved with traffic control. They didn't just detour us just off the highway, we detoured atleast 5-6 miles away. It took about three hours to complete. I asked one of the state troopers what was happening and he said he was told there was an overturned military vehicle. My hotel room for that night was just after we were allowed back on the main road. I watched the local news the next morning and not a word about it and I never heard anything after that. Another thing is the military vehicles were blocking all other roads on the detour except the ones heading the away from the highway. I have often wondered what the real story was. Maybe it was a downed secret aircraft or maybe a downed UFO??? Who knows, but it seemed pretty odd to me that it was never reported on the news. You don't just shut down that much interstate without it being on the news.

I just read that on aol news. I think the fact that NASA has fought opening up these files suggest of a UFO cover-up. Somehow I dont think NASA is going to reveal the really sensative documents. NASA say the object was a meteor yet for more than 40 years NASA fought opening the files up. why would NASA remain resistant all these years over a meteor? There is nothing "earthly" that could warrent covering this up for more than 40 years.

As I said the real reasons for covering this up has to do with the following:

1)ECONOMIC - it has been said the technology found in extraterretrial craft could provide free energy to the world. That certainly wouldnt bode well for the powerhouses of EXXON and prominent people with oil interests that run our country like George Bush. Introducing technology far beyond our own would be a shock to the world economic system.

2)SOCIAL& RELIGION - the "truth" could be really damaging to the worlds religions. If the "truth" conflicts with religous beliefs it would cause panic, chaos, disorder and people would lose faith in thier beliefs. What if these beings said they created us and not God and somehow were able to prove that?

3)DAMNING EVIDENCE OF THE CRIMES OUR GOVERNMENT HAS COMMITTED - I think people in the government have broken laws trying to cover this up and disclosure would send alot of very high profile people to jail. Some even link JFK's death to the fact that he wanted to disclose the UFO cover-up.

That does sound odd. Maybe the overturned truck was carrying weapons, chemicals, nuclear material, or something like that. I can see the military wanting to keep the public far away from the scene of such an accident, both for public safety and for security. Strange that it wouldn't be mentioned on the local news, though.

Anytime the military does transfers of nuclear or chemical/biological weapons, they do it in large, heavily armored convoys traveling late at night. If there was some sort of an accident, they would have immediately shut down all access into and out of the area and clamped down on media coverage. Local emergency responders wouldn't even be allowed in. It would be quite a PR nightmare if this was the case and news of an accident involving weapons got out.

BTW Ohio congressman and former presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said he saw a UFO in the 1980s. He said he saw a giant triangular craft that hovered silently in the air for about 10 minutes and the sped away at a speed which he could not comprehend.

I don't really buy much into the whole aliens thing, nor the mothership ideas, nor Planet X or extreme government conspiracies of aliens. I do accept the fact that beings from elsewhere could indeed be out there, maybe even visiting us, but feel that the majority of UFO sightings aren't aliens at all, and usually shy away from any connections made to aliens. I think there's just too much desire by some, and too much sensationalism out there to really be able to believe most alien connection stories.

I do however have a very keen interest in ancient history, and believe there were civilisations before us which were more advanced than we give them credit for. My only resource for such beliefs are the works of Arysio Nunes dos Santos (www.atlan.org if it's still around) -- he had set out to disprove Atlantis' possible existance and instead stumbled upon evidence supporting its role in our pasts -- and the collective stories of religions and cultures across the world.

I've also begun to follow Hinduism some, and from what I understand there is actually mention in Hindu texts of a trip to the moon, and one of the ships crashed there somewhere. After that, it wasn't visited again. I'm not sure I believe these moon-ruin theories, but if they are true, perhaps there is a common link there?

Yes, I'm very sceptical of any 'crazy' theorie, but that doesn't mean I'm completely against the ideas, either. After all, the only reason I read Arysio's works was to laugh at his stupidity in thinking Atlantis would be found in Indonesia, but instead discovered he has a pretty strong case, and believe his theory.

I think people have the mindset that if they cant see it then its not real. I believe the UFO phenomina is real. I also believe that the majority of UFOs are not extraterestrial. Many high ranking officials are coming out and saying the we have and are beinging visited be extraterrestrials. I just cant see how all the people with high credentials are lying. One might ask how can an alien race from another world look like us on Earth? the answer is maybe we have alien DNA. That could explain how man has changed from ape to our present form. Maurice Chatelain (former) Chief - NASA Communications Systems said that Neil Armstrong reported seeing two massive UFOs sitting on the edge of a crater watching him as he walked on the moon. Heck I dont even know what the man looks like today. Ive only seen photos of him on tv from his Apollo days. Its almost like something profound has happened to him and he wants to put everything behind him. Or either NASA has instructed him not to take part in interviews and to lay low. he has long been reluctant to discuss his moon mission and you have to ask why doesnt he want to talk about the moon mission. another weird thing that has happened, the origional Apollo moon film has been "lost" How can you lose film of one of the most important events in our history? That is very odd. That says to me that there were some additional "things" recorded on that origional film that have never been viewed by the public. Also why did the moon missions stop? all those quotes are real. They have either been documented on tape, video, press or declassified government documents. The info doesnt come from one source. Its all widespread public knowledge and not something websites fabricated. There are actually quotes from people not in government. I chose to post the government quotes because the people are more credible.
