It has been an outstanding season for LSU baseball so far...a school all-time Best 52-9 record after beating Top Ranked Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament Championship this past Sunday...LSU/BR will host Regionals beginning tomorrow vs. SWAC Champion Jackson State at 2:00p.m. The game will only be on ESPN3 via internet or electronic devices...think it would be cool to be able to check the game out at the new Town Square...the message below said LSU beating Vandy was an upset...but really it's not that big of an upset...LSU is highly ranked enough!

Omaha bound!!!!!

Yes indeed! Impressive; nearly flawless at the Super Regionals vs Oklahoma!!

Can hardly wait!!! L.S.U. (57-9) faces U.C.L.A....Sunday at 7:00p.m.  And surprisingly only 3 of the 8 National Seeds made it to the CWS!

Being a work night... wonder how many people/fans will be watching at the Square??

It looks like an outline of a giant chicken wing from this angle.

I'll be in town in October. I'll have to check it out. Thank for posting Richy!

Seeing it in person, it really consumes you and fills the space nicely, I think. The blend of modern and the Gothic Revival of the Old Capitol works well. The new library will still improve on that.

Man that's crazy.  I like the Crest from that angle.  It looks like it should be held up by lines from above.

Kinda wish we can cover up that parking deck below it

It turned out pretty well!

The DDD plans to cover that remaining portion of the parking deck, this story from the Advocate contains an image of the proposal.

Nice! The hardscape in that area will eventually be as nice as the North Blvd square. There's a fire lane and an alley next to it now.

I can't really tell, but does this include cleaning up the ramp area into the underground deck between the city building and the library?

I think that if they can move the M/E on the roof and the parking/ service entrance under ground at the new library, they can come up with something that's more open from all angles similar to the Trahan proposal. Maybe they can have a defined entrance on all sides for this library.

The latest proposals I've seen kind of put the dumpsters and service entrance in that area....probably less than 75 feet from the Crest. The preliminaries have the library facing North Blvd with it's side facing the crest and it's windowless back facing the government building.

It would be a missed opportunity if they didn't at least try that. That way the Crest will be within line of sight from St Louis street as well and more pedestrians from 3rd can be drawn that direction towards the BRSO building. The area between the library and government building wouldn't feel like an alley.

Yes indeed Antrell!

Saints got the win last night (now 9-2) vs NFC South Rival Falcons....up next BIG game vs Seahawks(10-1) on MNF (Dec 2nd) for 1st Place in the NFC!

Hopefully LSU can get the "W" vs Texas A&M tomorrow...should be an exciting game if it's not a Mud bowl!

Nobody shows up to watch on that rinky dink tv. Not to mention it's going to rain this weekend. Why waste the time and money promoting such a stupid concept? (Mayors office, not you Richy)

I don't think North Blvd Town Square will ever expect to compete with the electric gameday atmosphere in & around campus.....not even close! Maybe just a more relaxed, less crowded environment....an alternative from the chaotic traffic/parking snarls, etc... + they are pricing $$ the common man out of Football games more & more....of course some could care less about the game..."Tailgating" is the Main Event & the game is  secondary

Have been enjoying the games more from the living room TV these days(if not in stadium)...not sure if I ever will watch a game at the Square...just think it's cool it's there..that's all

Going to the games can be time consuming...being the football junkie that I am.... miss too many of the other good games!
