One thing I have a pet peeve about with today's society is the obsession with violence. Not just regular violence, but gore and graphic violence. However, if you show a nipple, i.e. Janet Jackson and the 2004 Super Bowl, oh you are hithen and a very bad example to children. I would rather see an exposed female breast than somebody decapitated or dismembered. And people wonder why we live in a more dangerous society nowadays.

I never understood for the life of me what the big deal is about naked breasts??????????

Breasts are glands. How that has become a taboo is beyond me.....our lingering Victorian sensibilities I guess.

I still can't understand how anyone could have been offended by seeing Janet Jackson's breast on TV. Hard for me to understand that kind of conservative thought.

Here's one I always found interesting:

In the 1950s and early 60s black people were politely called "colored people". By the late 60s "colored people" became unacceptable by the black community, and by many people it was considered a slur.

Over the years different terms came and went: Afro-American, African-American etc....

But now we have "people of color". Seems mighty similar to "colored people" to me!
