Calera park plans have big price

The Calera Parks & Recreation Department is planning a massive $15.6 million expansion for the city 2 parks, Oliver Park ($10 million) and George Roy Park ($5.6 million). There will be the additions of soccer fields, softball fields, baseball fields, football fields, an indoor baseball practice field skate park, BMX bike track, and golf field. Oliver Park will be expanded by 23.6 acres and 30 acres at George Roy Park.

Whoa! That is a major expansion.
